Our journey begins the moment your inquiry lands in my inbox. Setting up a phone call, video chat, or in person meeting is important, because it gives us the opportunity to get to know each other, you can share all about your day, and I can answer your questions.

Following our meeting, I’ll create a few customized collections for you, so you can be sure to find something that works perfectly for you and you can be confident in your investment.

PLANNING + CONSULTATIONS
This is the fun part! We’ll work closely, as I’m always just an email or phone call away to answer any questions, offer guidance or recommendations. We collaborate together throughout your planning process so that on your wedding day we are fully prepared, on the same page, and you can rest assured that I am with you every step. I’ve got you!

ENGAGEMENT SESSION
GALLERY DELIVEry
I always encourage my clients to have fun with their engagement sessions! I’ll offer guidance on locations, wardrobe or anything you need to achieve the look and feel you’re going for. We’ll work closely to plan ahead, and capture engagement session magic the day of.
Gallery delivery day is one of my favorite days! (Besides the wedding, of course). I can’t wait for you to see every beautiful moment we captured on your big day, and to remember the feelings that you experienced as you view each image. The photos in your gallery will be available for instant download, so you can print and share them as you’d like. If you’d like to purchase an heirloom album or professionally printed photos, I’ll work closely with you through the process of getting your beautiful images printed and in your hands, so you can enjoy them for years to come.

Frequently asked questions
HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN A PROFESSIONAL WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER?
I’ve been behind the camera, first as a student, and then professionally, for 23 years. I feel so grateful to be celebrating 13 years in business this year. I feel fortunate I was able to immerse myself in the study of art and photography in college. My degree is a BFA with a concentration in photography. My education and experience really shaped me into the artist I am today, not only in how I see the world, but in capturing it as well.
HOW MANY WEDDINGS HAVE YOU PHOTOGRAPHED?
I’ve photographed hundreds of weddings, and I’m as passionate about capturing them now as I was the very first one. Each couple I’ve worked with, and each wedding I’ve photographed has been a huge part of my growth as a photographer, artist and business owner. I feel so fortunate to have been able to be a part of so many incredible couples' lives, and form the relationships I have with them, and be able to be a part of many of their lives still.
WHAT EQUIPMENT DO YOU USE?
I shoot digitally on both Canon and Fuji GFX systems. The Fuji GFX is a medium format digital camera that simulates the look and feel of film. It’s a tool in my toolbox that allows me to translate my artistic vision and creatively capture what it is I’m trying to capture. My first cameras were film, and I’ll always have a love for how film translates a moment and an image. I love that the Fuji allows me the ability to capture everything I love about film, but digitally.
DO YOU TRAVEL?
Yes, yes, and yes! There’s nothing I love more than exploring and experiencing different locations all around the country and around the world, and capturing your love story in a location that’s special to you. My passport is ready, so let’s go!
HAVE YOU SHOT AT OUR VENUE BEFORE?
This is a great question, and it’s one I feel my couples are really concerned about when finding a photographer. The short answer to this question is that there are a ton of wedding venues out there, and it is possible I’ve not shot at your venue. Especially if it’s a destination wedding. However, let me reassure you I love shooting at venues I’ve never shot at before. I find that when I walk into a new space, my creative wheels start spinning. I’m able to see the space with fresh eyes, and immediately start seeing a vision for what I’d like to capture. I’ve found I’ve created some of my best work when shooting in a new space for the first time. So that’s my way of saying not to be deterred if I haven’t shot at your venue before.. It’s actually a good thing!
SHOULD WE DO AN ENGAGEMENT SESSION?
I absolutely love engagement sessions. It’s a great way for my couples to get to know me, and get comfortable being in front of my camera. It also allows me to get to know you both as a couple. It’s a wonderful opportunity to customize a session to what you both like, whether it’s something you both like to do together, or a special place that means a lot to you both. Engagement sessions always end up being so much fun, and I can capture some beautiful, fun, and authentic moments of the two of you.
WHAT IS IT LIKE WORKING WITH ME LEADING UP TO, AND ON THE DAY OF THE WEDDING?
It’s really important that my couples get to know me and feel comfortable with me. You’re going to spend the majority of your day with me, and I’ll be an integral part of capturing all of your moments.. Leading up to the wedding, I’m always a phone call or email away if you have any questions, or need guidance or input on anything. We plan the engagement session, and are in correspondence multiple times before the wedding. Prior to the wedding, I love to review timelines and any last minute details, so that upon arriving on the wedding day, the two of you can relax, have fun, and fully immerse yourselves into your day. I’m there to support you, capture your day, and yes, even be your “hype girl” as one of my recent brides called me.
HOW WOULD I DESCRIBE MY PHOTOGRAPHY STYLE?
I am a fine art photographer who combines a mix of posed photos with a majority of candid images.I work diligently to capture and tell the story of your day through photography. I’m very intentional in how I compose and capture all of my shots, even the fast paced candid photos. There’s always a time and a place for posed photos, but I really strive to give my couples space to be themselves, and be able to capture authentic moments, filled with authentic emotion. I don’t force my couples into unnatural poses, but instead encourage movement to capture connection and emotion.
WHAT’S YOUR EDITING STYLE LIKE?
I aim to keep my photos as timeless and classic as possible by ensuring that your photographs are true to life. 50 years from now, your images will look like they were taken yesterday. Fads and trends fade, but classic portraits last for generations.
DO YOU HAVE ANY VENDOR RECOMMENDATIONS?
I’ve worked with so many incredible vendors, from florists, to videographers, bands and beyond. I’m always happy to share my favorite vendors that give you top notch service and will care for you on your wedding day.
WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THE WEDDING?
Within a few days of the wedding, I’ll post a sneak preview on my facebook page, so you can share with your friends and family. You will also have immediate access to those edited images as well.. Within 8 weeks from the wedding date, I’ll deliver your images in a password protected online gallery. From there you are welcome to view, share, and download your photos. From there I’m happy to discuss albums if you’d like one, and begin the album design process. You and your guests are also welcome to order lab quality professional prints and products from the gallery.
DO YOU OFFER ALBUMS, PRINTS OR PRODUCTS?
Yes, I offer all three. Many of my couples choose to have me design a beautiful heirloom album for them, and often one for their parents as well. I work closely with my couples through the design and customization process, so they ultimately have a fully custom heirloom album that tells the story of their day.. A great deal of time is spent color correcting your photos, and ordering directly from my lab ensures the photos you frame and put on your walls reflect the true nature of the photos in your gallery.
